NATURAL SWEETNESS WITH XYLITOL

A HEALTHIER OPTION

Xylitol, or birch sugar as it is also called, is a sugar alcohol found in the fibers of many fruits and vegetables. The name Xylitol comes from classical Greek (xylon), 'tree', and the suffix -itol used for sugar alcohols. Xylitol is and is thus declared as a sugar alcohol (polyol) that has no major impact on blood sugar.

An extra NOTE to all dog lovers out there - unlike the human body, Xylitol is not broken down by our four-legged friends and can therefore be dangerous for them in larger quantities. Take care of your animal friends and avoid giving your dogs products containing Xylitol. The positive thing is that there are goodies left over for you!
